The selected candidates in Pakistan Army will be offered two years of education and training to join the army as commissioned officers. Applicants as commissioned officers are unmarried male citizens of Pakistan and domicile holders of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are eligible to apply. Persons with dual citizenship are also eligible to apply. After final selection, candidates with dual citizenship will be required to admit nationalities other than Pakistani.

Join Pak Army For PMA Long Course eligibility criteria is described below with details;

- Qualification: Inter/DAE A level/ Bachelor

- Hight: Minimum 5 feet 4 inches
- Running Speed: 1.6 KM in 8 Minute
Selection Process for PAK Army PMA Long Course
- Enrollment and initial selection at AS and RC.
- Written (academic)/intellectual exam with multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering General Knowledge (G.K. ), Mathematics, English, Pak-Studies, and Islamiat.
- Upon successful completion of the academic and intelligence assessments, candidates will be subjected to a physical examination, interviews, and a medical examination at AS & RC.
- 1.6 km of jogging in 8 1/2 minutes, 15 push-ups, 15 sit-ups, 3 chin-ups, and a ditch crossing of 7.4 x 7.4 with a depth of 4 feet are the requirements that will be followed for the physical examinations.
- Tests and interviews by ISSB.
- Candidates recommended by the ISSB are medically examined at the closest CMH.
- Final decision based on candidate performance overall made by GHQ.
